The Parish Council is established to act and serve in an advisory capacity with Fr. Paul and Deacon Steve Seymour in all matters pertaining to the spiritual and educational affairs of the Parish. It will recommend programs policies, and procedures that will fulfill the needs of the Parish community, and will ensure that those programs and policies are properly implemented by established committees of the Council.
The Council is made up of the Pastor, six at-large members, two members appointed by the pastor, a representative of the Altar Rosary Society, and a representative of winter visitors, appointed by the Pastor.
In addition to Fr. Paul and Deacon Steve, the following parishioners currently serve on the Parish Council: Van Bielkiewicz (Chair), Francie Towey (Secretary), Tina D'Aversa, Andree Drouilhet, Bob Lindley (Knights of Columbus representative), Ellen Passage (winter Visitor representative) and Cheryl Robinson (ARS representative).
The role of the Parish Finance Council shall be consultative to the pastor who presides over the Finance Council. The meetings of the Finance Council are called by the pastor who approves the agenda. While it is expected that the pastor give due consideration to the advice of the Council, the pastor alone, in concert with the pertinent regulations of the Archdiocese, has the ultimate responsibility for all decisions affecting the finances of the parish.
